LAGERS Policy Tracker

LAGERS is a non-profit public pension plan that was created by the Missouri General Assembly in 1967 for the purpose of providing retirement, disability, and survivor benefits to local government workers across the state. Today, LAGERS works to promote the long-term financial health of its members, and those who financially depend on these benefits.

LAGERS fundamentally believes in the value of the time, talent, and services our members return to communities across the state, and acknowledges that without skilled workers in these public offices, our state and local community could not efficiently function or provide the high caliber services Missouri taxpayers expect. LAGERS strives to give a voice to our public workers, and to further protect and promote issues on their behalf that impact their present and future financial and retirement security.
