Announcing: LAGERS Local Government Hero Award

As LAGERS members, you are the heartbeat of our communities. You keep us safe, our parks clean, our water clean, our lights on and much more. From city and county administrative staff to police officers and fire fighters, you all have a part in making our communities and state excellent!

We understand the important job LAGERS has of ensuring these dedicated hardworking public servants can achieve financial security and leave the workforce with your heads held high. This role is vital and important to ensuring we have and keep valuable public servants in our state making our communities better.

In recognition of these public servants, LAGERS is launching a new Local Government Hero Award. This award will be awarded to a LAGERS member who make a difference in their community day in and day out. Winners will be those who exemplify LAGERS values of Dedication, Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, Excellence, Communication and Accountability.

Nominations for the Local Government Hero Award are now open and will be open until February. You can nominate someone by completing this online form. Three finalist will be selected by a staff committee, and LAGERS’ Board of Trustees will select a winner from the three finalist. The winner will receive their award at the 2019 LAGERS Annual Meeting in Springfield, MO.
