The LAGERS Employer Administrators & Reporters Network Conference (LEARN) is an educational and networking event hosted by LAGERS for employers and administrators of a LAGERS benefit. The conference features an extensive program, including educational sessions led by industry experts and discussions tailored to LAGERS employers. At LEARN, attendees will walk away with the latest information on administering LAGERS benefits, best practices for employers, and connections with other retirement plan professionals.
This year’s featured sessions include:
- From Hire to Retire: Print, Digital, and On-Demand Tools to Support Every Employee: An overview of LAGERS resources available for employees at every stage of their career. This session walks through which print materials, digital tools, and online resources are best suited for newly hired employees, mid-career members, and those approaching retirement.
- Paper Trails & Payroll Tales: A Monthly Reporting Survival Guide: This session provides a step-by-step walkthrough of the LAGERS monthly reporting process, giving employer reporters the tools they need to complete reporting accurately and with confidence. Attendees will learn how to enroll new hires in ECLIPSE, understand when the six-month free period applies, and properly report re-employed retirees. The session also covers entering and submitting monthly wages, completing the Statement of Account, and submitting online payments so reports and payments reconcile correctly. Practical tips, checklists, and real-world examples are shared throughout to help reduce errors, limit follow-up questions, and create a more efficient, predictable reporting routine.
Advanced sessions will also be available for CLA’s seeking recertification for the upcoming fiscal year.
Who should attend LEARN?
Anyone who communicates, administers, or funds LAGERS benefits is encouraged to attend. The conference is especially beneficial for professionals in finance, human resources, payroll, and administration.
When is the conference?
The 2026 LEARN Conference will be held May 13–14.
Where will it be held?
To accommodate expanded attendance, the conference will take place at the DoubleTree Hotel in Springfield, Missouri, which offers increased capacity for both general sessions and breakout rooms.
When does registration open?
General registration will open in March.
Does it cost to attend?
No. The LEARN Conference remains free to attend. Employers may also earn the Certified LAGERS Administrator designation by completing the required attendance and submitting the certification form prior to the conference.
The expanded venue also allows for additional breakout sessions on Thursday, giving attendees more flexibility to customize their conference experience.
