Five finalists have been named for the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System’s (LAGERS) 2024 Local Government Hero Award. The winner will be announced at LAGERS’ 2024 Annual Meeting on Oct. 24.
The Missouri Local Government Hero Award program was created to celebrate the outstanding contributions of the state’s local public workforce.
The finalists include Andrew Boillot, corporal and K9 officer for the city of Kimberling City; Tracy Prost, city clerk for the city of Perryville; Mark Schaufler, the director of water utilities for the city of Lee’s Summit; Carol Schrey, the director of Collection Services for the St. Charles City-County Library; and Kenneth Wieberg, the assistant fire chief for the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District.
