The LAGERS Board of Trustees is scheduled to convene for their quarterly meeting this Friday, June 13 beginning at 8 a.m. The meeting will include reports from management, investment staff, and external consultants.
The board, which ensures that LAGERS is appropriately managed and serves the best interests of its members and beneficiaries, protects the assets of the LAGERS retirement system by approving strategy, policy, and delegating the daily management of the system to staff.
The board is composed of three member trustees, who must be active LAGERS members; three employer trustees, who are elected or appointed officials at a LAGERS employer and are not members; and one citizen trustee, who is neither an active member nor an employer and is appointed by the governor. Board members are elected at LAGERS’ Annual Meeting in October.
