Are you registered for a myLAGERS account? myLAGERS is an online tool for active members and retirees to manage many aspects of their LAGERS membership. Here are the top ways you can use your myLAGERS account:
1. Use the benefit calculator.
Use the benefit calculator to estimate how much your LAGERS benefit will be in retirement.
2. Apply for retirement!
Avoid postal service delays and get your retirement application started online. On your myLAGERS homepage, navigate to “Retirement Application” to begin the process. You can also track the progress of your application here.
3. Update your contact information.
It’s important to keep your contact information up to date, including your home address, phone number, and email address. This ensures that you can be reached in case there’s ever an issue with your account, and you can continue to receive important news such as your Member Annual Statement. To update your information, go to “Personal Profile” and click on “Update My Address/ Contact Information.”
4. Update your beneficiaries.
In myLAGERS, click “Beneficiaries” and the “New” button to add a new beneficiary. To delete a beneficiary, select the box to the left of the beneficiary’s names and press the “Delete” button.
5. Create service purchase estimates.
Some members may be eligible to purchase other non-covered public service. You must be currently employed by a LAGERS covered employer to be able to purchase additional years of service towards your LAGERS benefit. Use the service purchase estimate tool to calculate how much service you’d like to purchase. Options for payment including rolling over funds from another retirement account, paying in a lump sum, or paying in 12- or 24-month installments.
6. View your annual statement.
You can always log in to your myLAGERS account to download your Member Annual Statement. You can also view annual statements from previous years.
To register for a myLAGERS account, navigate to the green “myLAGERS” button on molagers.org. From there, you will be prompted to set up an account.
