Public Safety Definition Changes:
This bill permits employer to elect to cover EMS personnel, Jailors and Dispatchers as Public Safety Officers with a normal retirement age of 55.

January 9- First day of session
March 1 - Last day to file Senate Bills
March 14 - Legislative Spring Break begins upon adjournment
March 25 - Spring Break ends
March 27 – LAGERS Legislative Day at the Capitol
April 22 - No Session - Easter Break
May 10 - Appropriation bills must be TAFP
May 17 - Last day of session
