Elizabeth Althoff joined the LAGERS team in February of 2011 and currently serves as the Legislative & Communications Coordinator. Her primary duties include assisting with the development and implementation for the system’s legislative, communication, and outreach programs.
Elizabeth graduated Cum Laude from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with an emphasis in Economics. Her interest in public policy lead her to Jefferson City where she served as a legislative aide for the Missouri Senate before joining LAGERS. She has also recently earned her Certificate of Achievement in Public Plan Policy in Employee Pensions from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Elizabeth lives in California, Missouri with her husband and four children on their family farm. Coming from an agricultural background, where employer-sponsored retirement plans do not exist, she appreciates the importance of retirement planning for all generations and believes that retirement security is something that everyone who works hard should be able to achieve.
