Military Leave

 

 

A LAGERS member will continue to receive service credit if called to active military duty for at least one working day during a calendar month.

 

Reporting Procedure on ECLIPSE:

  • Change member status to "Military Leave"
  • Input the date the employee left on military leave in the "Member Status Date" box
  • Report a "0" wage, even if the employee is being paid.  A wage is not required because LAGERS will not accept contributions for an individual on “Military Leave.”  Reporting a zero wage during month(s) on military leave will not adversely affect the member’s final average salary. 

Other Conditions must be met in order to receive service credit:

  • Employee must return to full-time LAGERS employment within one year of returning from mission.
